Custom Map Selections
When ordering a custom map, there are several options available to create the look one is after. Below are some of the main customizations we offer for our maps. Email us with questions about others, such as custom inscriptions or logos.
Compass Rose
Engraved onto most of our maps is a Compass Rose, the traditional indicator of geographic orientation.
For a custom map, you can select the style you wish to have engraved onto the map.
Also, let us know If you have a custom one you wish to engrave.
Stains
All of our maps are stained to accentuate the grain, and to contrast the different features on the maps. For the map layers with engraved text, we generally use Summer Oak for contrast and legibility. The frame and backing pairing options are seen in the image to the right. Let us know if you have a preference for your custom map and we can work out a color scheme that works best.
Title Font
We have a large selection of fonts available for the map title. Let us know if you have a title font preference when ordering.
